PTTM Club Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contest

What's better than a Toastmasters contest? TWO Toastmasters contests!

On 23 August, the Professional Trainers Toastmasters members and distinguished guests gathered to create two exciting contests.

The evening started off with a Humorous Speech Contest where our three contestants regaled us with funny tales. Alex Mok started things off with his accidental adventure: going lingerie shopping with his wife. Next, Talis Wong donned a silly wig and explained his new self-improvement program making him immune to embarrassment. Finally, Judy Tam won the contest sharing the sage jokes of her Uncle Uncle Anthony.

Next, all three contestants gave their best in an Evaluation Contest, evaluating Frank Liu's touching speech on his bucket list goals. Talis was so convincing in his efforts that Samuel Poon was literally blown off of his feet during the contestant interviews! “Luckily, Mr Wheelie chair was in the right place to save the day!” Samuel reflected afterwards. An excited audience member added, “If it was me, I would have been jetted out of the room!”

Finally, Chief Judge, Molly Yip, gave a hilarious impromptu speech, blending many elements from the evenings proceedings to round out the night.

Many thanks to the Chief Judge, other distinguished judges, facilitators, members and guests who made this evening such a fun event!

I look forward to our next Pro-Trainers meeting!
